Material Flow Balance 2005

The material flow balance illustrates the main environmental data and material flows in 2005. Some 11.47 million metric tons of products were manufactured from about 11.62 million metric tons of raw materials and about 0.52 million metric tons of oxygen (chiefly for the production of hydrogen peroxide). As in 2004, renewable resources accounted for about 6 percent of total raw materials used in 2005.
