Degussa's ESHQ Requirements specify the minimum requirements that are to be met in terms of environmental protection, safety, health and quality within the Degussa Group. They apply worldwide to the whole of Degussa AG and its consolidated subsidiaries. Special attention is paid to clear allocation of responsibility. An audit system and an IT-based ESHQ reporting system monitor the adequacy and functionality of the management system.

Particular demands also apply in terms of health protection, occupational safety, chemicals management and systematic protection against risk.

Incident management rules make certain that all Group levels are adequately involved in incident handling and ensure the identification of weak spots as well as potential for improvements.
